10 Unique must-sees

Welcome back to another series where we show you what the most beautiful places around the world are! Of course, since there are so many beautiful places, we can’t possibly fit them all into one article. We narrowed them down and have picked out the 10 most beautiful places in the world for you and your travel mates!

10. Antelope Canyon – An illusion of patterns

You have most likely seen tons of images of Antelope Canyon all over the internet before, and we understand why. It’s one of those places in the world where you are reminded of just how unbelievably beautiful some of the earth’s creations are. Seeing places like this makes you want to preserve your home, earth as much as you can. The red rock formations of Antelope Canyon located in Southwest of America seem to form perfect narrow spaces in between, which gives you an illusion of patterns that are truly incredible to the eye. In the Native American language, Navajo, the location actually translates to “the place where water runs through rocks” which is definitely a fitting translation.

9. The Azores – Dream come true

On to our next spot on the most beautiful places in the world is the Azores in Portugal. The Azores is a true wanderlust located off the coast of Lisbon. Explore the island where dreams come true. Not only do dreams come true here but it looks like a dream come true as well, with waterfalls and a range of hydrangea flowers scattered around. If you are one for nature, then you have to come to the Azores and you will undoubtedly fall in love.  8. The Great Barrier Reef – Living masterpiece

We all know and have heard of the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef, which is also one of the most beautiful places in the world. Located off the coast of Queensland, Australia you can find the living masterpiece, where you can go snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving. If you want to have a vacation at the sea then consider visiting the Great Barrier Reef! Watch as your new fish friends swim past you. A great tip is to also check out Whitehaven Beach, which is not too far from the Great Barrier Reef. Can’t be bothered? Would it help if I told you it is often voted Australia’s most beautiful beach, if not in the world?

7. Laguna Colorada – Blood of the gods

This bright red salt lake has to be one of my favorite places, leaving me in awe. Just look at it! Also, I am so excited to say that flamingos are often found relaxing under the sun in this red lagoon called Laguna Colorada in Bolivia. It couldn’t get any better. If you are one to believe in folklore, then it has been said that the water is actually the blood of the gods. Dramatic. However, science explains that the red color comes from the algae and rich minerals found in the water. For the best pictures, come during the sunset when it’s the reddest. Could this possibly be your next destination when visiting Bolivia?

6. Na Pali Coast – Pure paradise

This most beautiful place in the world is a little bit tricky to see. Na Pali Coast in Hawaii is one of the most stunning coastlines in the world and can only be seen from a helicopter and catamaran. Or, if you are up for an adventure of a lifetime you could consider going on a rather tough hike, which we do not recommend. The Na Pali Coast is filled with iconic mountains, beaches, waterfalls, and just pure paradise. A paradise like this cannot be missed! If you want to possibly plan your own trip and find other like-minded travelers to see Na Pali Coast with, then head over to JoinMyTrip

5. Okavango Delta – Coexist with wildlife

This lush land in Botswana called Okavango Delta is a place that will leave you in awe. Animals from all over gather there to fill their thirst in the river. It’s honestly a place where time doesn’t exist and deserves its own moment. This is where you can feel at peace and witness as you coexist with the wildlife. You might wonder how did all these weirdly shaped inland deltas come to form? When the Okavango River empties onto the land, it floods the savanna at the same time and creates these unique inland delta’s you see today. Pretty cool, right?

4. Pamukkale – Cotton castle

Next up on the list is Pamukkale, Turkey! These 17 tiered pools filled with mineral-rich thermal water just floods the whole place with beauty. Pamukkale in Turkish means “cotton castle” and it really does look like a white cotton castle fairy tale when you look at it. The white rock-like formations you see that form the pools are carbonated minerals that were left behind by the stream of thermal spring water. Do you know what the greatest part about this is? You probably thought “Can I swim in these pools?”, why yes you can. Pop a visit here while you’re in Turkey with your travel buddies and bathe in the thermal white pool. Fun fact: the place was originally used as a Roman spa resort.
